Daton's new file intake system allows you to upload your own list of ASINs and Frequency. Applicable to Amazon Selling Partner Connector
What Does the SQP Upload ASIN File Option Do?
The SQP Upload ASIN File option allows you to upload a CSV file that contains a list of ASINs and their corresponding reporting FREQUENCY (either WEEK or MONTH).
If you enter WEEK in the FREQUENCY column, Daton will fetch Search Query Performance Weekly data for those ASINs.
If you enter MONTH, Daton will fetch Search Query Performance Monthly data instead.
This feature gives you complete control over which ASINs are included and how frequently you retrieve the SQP data, ensuring you can customize the data to fit your needs.
Why Is This Being Done?
Amazon’s SP-API imposes limitations on fetching SQP data for multiple ASINs in a single request and enforces strict rate limits on the API. To address these constraints, Daton introduced the SQP Upload ASIN File option. By uploading a file containing a list of ASINs along with their specified FREQUENCY, Daton can process each ASIN individually, ensuring reliable and accurate data retrieval without violating Amazon’s API policies. This also prevents unnecessary data duplication and ensures smoother data collection.
Steps to Upload Your ASIN/FREQUENCY File
1. File Format
Your upload file must be in CSV format and contain exactly two columns:
ASIN: The unique Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) for the product.
FREQUENCY: The desired FREQUENCY for data retrieval, either WEEK or MONTH.
2. Specify the FREQUENCY
In the FREQUENCY column, specify one of the following values:
WEEK: To retrieve data for the Search Query Performance Weekly report.
MONTH: To retrieve data for the Search Query Performance Monthly report.
Ensure that the FREQUENCY is clearly defined for each ASIN to avoid errors during data retrieval.
3. ASIN Limits
Due to Amazon’s API constraints and considering rate limits, there are limits on the number of unique ASINs you can include in your file based on the reporting FREQUENCY:
Weekly Reports: You can upload a maximum of 500 unique ASINs for WEEKLY data.
Monthly Reports: You can upload a maximum of 1500 unique ASINs for MONTHLY data.
Please adhere to these limits to ensure that your data is processed correctly.
4. Unique ASINs for Each FREQUENCY
Ensure that the ASINs in your file are unique for each FREQUENCY. Do not repeat the same ASIN for the same FREQUENCY, as this could cause redundant requests and may result in delays or errors in data fetching.
