Before you start, you need:

• An active Saras iQ account
• Access to Claude
• If you're using Claude Teams and Enterprise, your Claude admin must first add iQ MCP as a custom connector.

Adding iQ MCP to Claude as a Custom Connector

The steps below are to be performed by Claude admins to add the custom iQ mcp connector to the Claude workspace. 

Step 1: Navigate to Organization settings > Connectors.

Step 2: Click the "Add" button >> Hover over “Custom,” then select “Web.”

Step 3: To configure the Connector, in the pop-up, enter the details given below, then click “Add”.

• Name: iQ MCP 
• URL: https://iqapi.sarasanalytics.com/mcp/v2
  
  
  Advanced settings do not need to be configured.

Connecting your iQ account to Claude 

Once iQ MCP has been added to your Claude workspace:

Step 1: Go to Settings → Connectors.

Step 2: Search for iQ MCP and click Connect.

If you don't see it, click Browse and search for iQ MCP. If it still doesn't appear, ask your Claude admin to add iQ as a custom connector first.

Step 3: You'll be taken to the Saras iQ login page >> Sign in using your iQ credentials.

Step 4: Click Allow Access

When prompted, click Open Claude.

You'll be taken back to Claude and see a confirmation that the connection is complete

Start using iQ in Claude

Open a Claude Chat or CoWork conversation and start asking questions about your business data.

For example:

• Use iQ MCP, What were our sales last month?
• Show me our top-performing products, use iQ mcp.
• Create a weekly business review dashboard.

Alternative
Navigate to Settings → Connectors → Locate “iQ MCP" → Click Configure → Choose “Always Allow” 

Troubleshooting 

If iQ MCP isn't working, try these steps in order:

• Quit Claude completely and reopen it.
• Go to Settings → Connectors → iQ MCP and disconnect it.
• Click Connect and sign in to iQ again.
