Pre-requisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

An active Sticky.io Account

Access to the Sticky.io Admin Portal

Sticky.io App Key

Sticky.io API Username

Sticky.io API Password

A valid Daton Account

(a) Task 1: Get Your Sticky.io Credentials

Get the credentials from the Sticky.io Admin Portal.

Authentication:
Sticky.io uses Basic Authentication to secure API access. Authentication is performed using an API Username and API Password, while the App Key identifies your Sticky.io account instance. These credentials are managed directly within the Sticky.io platform and are required for all API interactions between Daton and Sticky.io.

Creating API Credentials

To authenticate the Sticky.io connector with Daton, valid API credentials must first be created within the Sticky.io Admin Portal:

Log in to the Sticky.io Admin Portal.

Navigate to Settings → Account & Permissions → API Accounts.

Click Actions → Add API User.

Provide the required information:

Username – API username used for authentication

Company Contact

Email

Phone

Save the configuration.

After saving, Sticky.io generates:

API Username ,API Password

Store the generated password securely, as it may not be shown again after creation.

Obtain App Key

The App Key is your Sticky.io account subdomain and is required to establish API connectivity.

Example:

Admin URL:

https://XYZ.sticky.io/admin

Then:

App Key = XYZ

This App Key will be used during Daton connector configuration and API endpoint construction.

Example Daton Configuration

App Key : XYZ
Username : api_user_name
Password : generated_api_password

For generating API credentials and additional authentication details, please follow the official Sticky.io API documentation and API Accounts setup guide

Log in to your Daton account and search for Sticky.io in the list of Connectors, then click Configure.

Enter or select the following details and click Authenticate:

  • Integration Name
Note that the Integration Name will be used to create the integration tables and cannot be modified later.
  • Optionally, add a Description to identify the integration
  • Attribution window - configure the Attribution Window as a lookback window to re-fetch historical data and capture any updated records during replication.
  • Replication Frequency
  • Replication Start Date

Optionally, expand the Advanced Configuration Options section and, based on your requirements, modify the options to control the loading behavior of Daton.

Provide the following Sticky.io credentials (generated in Task 1) to authenticate the integration:

  • App Key
  • API Username
  • API Password

Sticky.io APIs use Basic Authentication, and the provided credentials will be validated before establishing the integration.

After successful authentication, you will be prompted to choose from the list of available tables.

  • Select the required tables and click Authenticate.
  • Based on your requirement, select specific options for each selected table.

Click Next.

Select the required fields for each table and click Submit.

Note that you will be prompted to select the destination for your account.

Select the destination for extracting Sticky.io data for replication and click Confirm. An Integration Successful message will be displayed.

Important Note:

  • Integrations would begin in the Pending state and change to the Active state once the first job successfully loaded data into the configured warehouse.
  • Users can check job status and process logs from the integration details page by clicking on the integration name in the active list.
  • Users can Re-Authenticate, Edit, Clone, Pause or Delete the integration at any moment by clicking on settings. You can also adjust the frequency and history of the integration.
  • On the Sources page, click Integration to access each table in your integration. The page also shows the state of each table, the last replicated time, and the Reload access buttons.
